About Us

Athletes

At AFL, we train both high school and youth-aged athletes. We develop customized programs that are appropriate to each level and age group. Our high school division consists of athletes grades 9th, 10th and 11th. Our youth division trains grades 6th, 7th and 8th. AFL athletes are serious athletes with a devotion to football and a desire to elevate their abilities and skills to reach the next level.
We strongly encourage athletes to learn about the entire AFL process from exploration to registration to actual camp time. As an athlete, you are always striving to reach your full potential. AFL will help you get there.

About Us

AFL was developed by current and former NFL and college head, offensive/defensive coordinators and position coaches seeking to create a smarter, more technical FOOTBALL player. Coaches feel players were getting further and further behind on the knowledge of the game. Youth and High School coaches simply don’t have the time during the season to develop technical skill. Players are primarily learning the coaches offensive and defensive systems. Thus, heavenly relying on the physical aspect of their game. AFL will teach how and when to use their technical skills to gain advantage during competition.

Mission Statement

Dedicated athletes – AFL athletes – have one common goal: pursuing football at the highest level their knowledge, skill and talent will take them. With this in mind, AFL created its three-fold approach to developing athletes: 1. Make them better technical football players. 2. Make them better athletes and prepare them for success at the level they desire. 3. Give them the opportunity to expose their entire football portfolio to as many colleges as possible. The first two make the third far easier to obtain. AFL takes athletes – football players – and turns them into elite quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, linemen, linebackers and defensive backs. Registered athletes choose one position and receive position-specific technique training from coaches whose methods are NFL-tested. These 10, one-hour sessions of training consist of individual and one-on-one drills. The players implement what they’ve learned, and are ready to test their technique against other athletes. At the end of the session, athletes receive an FSAT (Football Skill and Technical) grade reflecting their speed, strength and performance in positional drills. Most AFL athletes have been the best player on the field every time they’ve stepped on it. For most, athleticism, speed and size got them there. By refining your raw abilities and honing your technique, AFL’s goal is to ensure that this remains true regardless of the competition and level of play. For those who may not be blessed with superior athleticism, AFL’s technical coaching and knowledge of the game will allow them to compete at any level.
